A Reflection
How it all started...
In 2008, Wilma was sent by God to serve full-time in the Audio-Visual Mission, working as a missionary in the city and gaining insights into the importance of audio-visual elements for evangelism. In the spring of 2010, she woke up one morning with a sentence in her mind: "Street Preaching at Easter." She immediately prayed for guidance, and a few days later, she received a call from a Christian organization called "Blessed Journey", inviting her to participate in Easter street evangelism. Recognizing this as God's leading, she accepted the invitation.
Since the main target of her evangelism during street outreaches was her fellow compatriots in China, she realized that her Mandarin skills were limited and relying solely on oral communication might not be effective. She then prayed for tools to enhance her evangelistic efforts and came across a collection of colorful wooden patterns. These patterns inspired her to create evangelistic content, and she began making evangelistic keychains as her first set of tools. Using the vibrant keychains, she found that people were quickly attracted and willing to listen to her message. While not every encounter resulted in immediate conversions, she understood the value of planting seeds of the Gospel.
The experience of street evangelism became a significant mark in Wilma's life. After three years, her burden for saving souls grew even stronger, and she felt a special calling from God. Through prayer, God revealed Connie as a partner. Connie was a sister whom Wilma had met during her early years of service and possessed the gift of drawing. Wilma shared her vision with Connie, and they began working together, building a strong partnership. They were determined to fulfill God's commission step by step according to His will.
Together, Wilma and Connie embraced their gifts and talents, dedicating themselves to spreading the message of hope and salvation. They worked diligently, trusting in God's guidance, and knowing that each step they took brought them closer to fulfilling God's purpose.
